Its very hard to talk about this in general as I/we are guilty of this someway or another. Just a while ago our house maid caught a cat, and decided to disposed of it. The cat was fighting for dear life trying to get away. I told her if your going to be cruel might as well use a bat or a hummer and bash it. I was merely testing her, and see how far she would go. But she said no because its cruel, I told her that your strangling the cat (as the rope gets tighter every time the cats try to fight it). I’m sure that I heard the cat breathing heavily as the rope starts to asphyxiate him. so she decide to throw the cat(alive) inside the manhole… so it’s not cruel as long as you don’t see someone suffering?. hmmmm.
The thing i dislike about it, is that my entire family is for it… its not just about the cat’s case but everything in general. I eat chicken and I eat pork, and I love them, but we grow them so we can eat(use) them, so thats totally out of the picture. But killing something just to get rid of it is another thing, for me its just cruelty.
It made me think of how man weighs life in general, who decide who dies and who lives?. With the intelligence we have, we should be protecting those who have lesser and incapable of protecting themselves.
Man lives for his own selfish reason, thinking that his existence is the only thing that matters in this world. we forget that co-existence is the key to end every suffering.
